Look for Miracles

If we expect miracles and look for miracles,
we will find them in abundance.

Miracle Seeking

One of the things I miss the most about my Monastery days was my daily quest for miracles. I was always in hot pursuit of them and though they were tricky and sneaky sometimes they did often show up.

Not always. It was never a sure thing that the miracle I was hoping and praying for would come through but I think I had more confidence that they would.

And back then I think I thought if I just prayed hard enough I would push God into coming through for me. Now my approach is a bit more hesitant, questioning as if “not” being a nun took away some of my prayer power.

But that is ridiculous. God is a giver and gives freely and completely not at all dependent upon how good we are, or what we do or any other thing that is up to us to live up to.

Giving is just something God does. Freely and with no strings attached.

I think I need to get that into my head more. A lot more!

On the Book side of things

Yesterday I heard from Debbie (store manager) at Patti’s Hallmark that they sold three of my books in one day. Zippety Do Dah Day! Whether that will be repeated is questionable but it was certainly a pick me up!

Fort Vancouver Gift Shop wants a display set up of all three books and I’m off and running.

My friend Molly (internet friend and reader of blog) asked if the books would be available online. Ah yes . . . that needs a bit more work. It comes under the miracle need of “Get the Stupid Website done” factor. So far it’s up and down.

If we expect miracles and look for miracles,
we will find them in abundance.

A while ago I found this cute picture of Andre and Buddy. Andre is our hundred pound plus dog who loves to chase things . . . AND if he catches them (who knows?) but this is how the two of them get along.

  1. Blue sky and sunshine.
  2. Watched a great movie about Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg, “On the Basis of Sex.” Some reviews say the movie is inaccurate on some things but it was super good far as I am concerned.
  3. Feeling more positive about puzzle books. Working on the Portland book now.

  1. Oh I am so happy to see your real live photo of Andre and Buddy. Our good God sure knew what He was doing when he gave us dogs and cats. We have lost our most loved “Jessie” and miss her every day. You are blessed and don’t miracles come in the strangest packages sometimes!!!!
