If I can say I had fun

Today’s Sunshine:

I had fun, it was a good day.

Simone Biles

Yesterday I read this quote by a pastor somewhere and it was basically this, “Anyone who can say they slept between sheets is a rich person.” I wish I had noted who the pastor was but anyway for me – it puts everything in perspective.
I mean obviously I am rich!
I’ve already arrived.
What am I stewing about? Why am I worrying and fretting about getting rid of 1400 tee shirts and selling books? Even if I don’t sell another single one by golly I am so much more well off than most of the people on the planet. Geesh. Not only do I sleep between sheets they are fuzzy, flannel  ones that are deliciously cozy.
My brother Roy is always saying someone has to hit him on the head with a big stick for him to figure something out – and that’s me. Sometimes the stick is in the form of a mental big stick composed of words – but still very effective.
Of course I am still going to “play” with selling the books and t-shirts – because for me it is fun. Thinking, planning, (a little grumbling) but it’s rather exciting fun. Right now I am taking a course on Pinterest for Business. It is very good. I actually took this course years ago but I need a refresher so I’m doing that.

Today’s Three Sunshine (Gratitude) Moments:

1. Enchiladas for dinner. Making em. Think they will be good.
2. Reading a new Alexander McCall Smith book. Fun!
3. We found a new bakery to try out. Today we just went inside to look but we will definitely try soon.

Took this picture a few weeks ago – but he was in this same exact position and look this morning so I figure it is still current.

  1. Hello Pat, Happy New Year, Better late than never. I just caught up with all your posts. Holiday whiplash and now we’re in the midst of weather whiplash. But not complaining because I too am obviously rich. And I have the same cozy flannel sheets you do, so I feel very blessed as well.
My Dad, God rest his soul, would always say to us kids “do I have to hit you in the head with a
two by four to get your attention” same meaning. So I’m with you on that too. Words sure can be very effective.
    1. Roof over my head to stay warm and dry
    2. Enough money to pay for it all
    3. My health
