Today’s Sunshine:
“Blessed is the season
which engages the whole world
in a conspiracy of LOVE.”
Hamilton Wright Mabie
I guess I can’t go two days in a row saying I can’t think of anything to write about. I mean there should be something . . .
In our house we have a fixation on cats. We only have Buddy in the house, but we keep track of the big, black cat that tries to claim our backyard. He is much bigger than Buddy but I don’t think Buddy backs down in defending his territory. Yikes!
On our walks we continue our cat count every day. We pretty much have them all down as to who lives where and what one we might see in a window, a porch or under a canoe (though that cat’s folks moved last week and took him with them). Last week a big black cat, not the same one that comes in our back yard but same personality went after a dog that was walking with it’s owner down the street. He was like totally, after him. Don’t mess with that cat.
In the colder weather we see fewer cats. They have some smarts obviously and stay inside. Most of the cats have started to recognize our walking by every day and though they don’t always come out to say hi, they do give us the benefit of staring at us and acknowledging our presence.
Not everyone can say that.

Today’s Three Sunshine (Gratitude) Moments:
1. Glad former president, George W. Bush had a good funeral. We didn’t watch much of it – sort of sped on by most of it on TV the last few days, but I’m glad they are honoring him.
2. Glad we took a walk today even though to start off with I thought staying warm inside would be just as nice.
3. Glad always have good books to read.

Yes, it was a beautiful service for President Bush, he was a nice man. I watched all of it. Guess because I live just outside the Nations Capital and grew up in this area, it is what we do . Quite cold here and snow expected Monday.
Grateful for:
Good class at Tap last night
Mexican food for dinner tonight with a friend
Henry escaped last evening, when I opened the door to get a package and off he went, thank goodness I was able to get him in our neighbors yard, he thought it was a game. Sigh
Glad you got Henry! Would have had to send out an all points bulletin! So scary to have a pet on the run!
Yes, it was scary, not to mention I am to old to be running after him, lol.
