Give every day a chance

 Moving Forward

I’ve been gone for a few days because I have been in a big battle with myself on what to do with my websites. I could hardly bear the thought of starting over yet again but I definitely did not like the limitations of hosting that I was under.

Finally I decided things were not going to improve and it was time to change. So I did. I moved off of WordPress hosting and Shopify. Now I am on A2hosting and loving it. It’s fast, the support actually exists and because I am back on regular hosting I can do all the things like adding new games, puzzles, etc. that I haven’t been able to do for months.

Of course there is another learning curve but because I have worked with this kind of hosting for a thousand years it’s very doable. Most of it is just refreshing my memory banks and I am back on track.

 New thoughts for e3fun.com

My business site that I started with Shopify will be going through an inside, outside change as well. Instead of having the main page be a storefront selling my puzzle books and t shirts, I will be refocusing it to be a “fun” site for Senior Living.

I asked myself what my passion was for what I want to do going forward. After a few seconds thought I wrote down that I like to blog and create games.

That’s really what I like to do. And I think it’s pretty obvious because I keep doing it in between all my starts and stops with other endeavors.

Blog and create games. Jigsaw puzzles, memory matching games, Word Search, Hangman . . . silly maybe but I like doing it.

It will take time

The site now is simply a WordPress Starter page that says, “Hello, World!” So you should be able to guess what I will be working on for days to come.

I may not be blogging every day here for a while. Will see. Probably will try but ?

  1. I was wondering what happened. Glad you will still be posting. Having followed you for a very long time…. I have no doubt in your ability to get the site the way you want it to be. Just remember it is a web site not life or death so go easy on yourself.

  2. Good luck with the new site. It is important to do what you love and to follow your heart. I did like our 3 Grateful posts we all did, will you still do that ? And of course the games and WordSearch, etc.

  3. Good luck with the new site. Important to follow your heart and to do what you love ! I look forward to your posts, thank you !

  4. So glad you are back, Patty. After your being gone for a few days, and not mentioning anything, thought maybe this was going to be a Blog like so many that I have followed over the years. Really, after 15 years are so, you feel as if you know someone, even though you have never met in person. When bloggers just up and quit–never to be heard from again–you always wonder what happened to them. So welcome back, and as the others have said, follow your heart, and do what you enjoy.
I’m 86, I don’t have too many family or friends around any more–so frequently your email is the only one I receive that I look forward to reading. Hope you will be blogging for a long, long time to come! May God continue to bless you, and all of your readers.

  5. Glad to hear that you are still going to blog. I have followed you for a long time and enjoy following your life:-)
