Today’s Sunshine:

Cat-with-quote-6

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement.
Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.
Helen Keller

This picture reminds me intensely of a small kitten we had growing up. It had an accident in which its head was hurt. At first we didn’t think it would survive the night but it did. We loved the little kitty but he was never quite the same and he did die within the year. Still for his small life he left a permanent memory of love and care.

I don’t think we can measure life by how big or important something is but rather how deep an impression it makes upon us.

Hoping that 2019 will be a year of kindness, goodness and love. That’s the kind of year I would like the best!

Today’s Three Sunshine (Gratitude) Moments:
1. Heavy fog most of the morning but finally turned to blue sky and sunshine.
2. Going to try the “jeans” shopping again. Will see how it goes . . .
3. Reading a biography of James Comey. Really liking it.

  1. Happy New Year to you and Jon. Hope you find a pair or two of jeans. Going to see my sister in law Diane today at the hospital, she had surgery yesterday. Doing well and surgeon said the surgery wet well.
    Grateful for a New Year
    Grateful for good health
    Grateful for a good mind.

    1. Hope Diane is still doing better! I agree with you on the good health and mind for the New Year. I am so crazy conscious about whether I am starting to lose it mentally as in dementia. Scary. Since both of my parents went that route the genes don’t bode well. Though maybe it was other factors. Anyway one day at a time, Lord Jesus and see what happens! 🙂

  2. Happy y New Year.
Try Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans. … there are several styles…. I find The Amanda fits well. Costco usually carries them try 1size larger than you usually wear.
Costco will accept them as a return as long as labels on still attached and you have the ticket. Good luck

    1. Hi Joan! Oh my, I didn’t read your note in time. I went to my favorite store for buying jeans – Christopher Banks (CB) – and found two that fit and within budget as they were on sale. I will totally look at the Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans though the next time I go to Costco. And big thanks for the tip to buy one size larger – that helps a lot. The ones at CB are the opposite. I was sure I would be into a bigger size but GASP I wasn’t. Still I really don’t care what the size is as long as I don’t have to try on too many and they fit. Since can’t try them on at Costco your tip is gold!
