Actions Speak

Started off the day again floundering and flopping like a fish thrown on a deck. Decided to ask St. Padre Pio to help me out and what do you know just like that things started to move forward and I actually made quite a bit of progress today. Sure hope he\’s planning on keeping up the help.

Tried to season our cast iron pot that was getting blotchy but made the mistake of using Peanut oil instead of vegetable oil. Blotchy mess. Will have to work with that tomorrow. Found an article from Cook\’s Magazine that said to use Flax seed oil for a more permanent solution. Don\’t think we have any but will see and add it to the shopping list if not.

While the oven was still hot I baked the rest of the cookie dough I had refrigerated. They came out great. Cinnamon Coffee cookies. This time I doubled the amount of cinnamon sugar to roll them in and like them much better. Both Jon and I are heavy cinnamon users. 🙂
