\”No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.\”
Saint Ambrose

Giving Thanks
One of my favorite saints is Solanus Casey who was known for telling people to \”Give Thanks Ahead of Time,\” for any prayer request they were making. He would go on to say that thanking God ahead of time obligated God to follow up.
Well, I don\’t know that we can \”obligate\” God to do anything but I did like his idea of giving thanks for prayers answered even before they were. It is of course very Scriptural in that, \”Whatsoever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received and it will be given to you.\”
Giving thanks before we eat food its doing exactly that as well. Sometimes I think we are more Bible living than we give ourselves credit for.
At any rate I wish everyone a \”HAPPY THANKSGIVING!\” And even if you are not celebrating the holiday I wish you a happy day of Thanksgiving as well.
Scripture quote for the day
\”Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.\”
Mark 11:24

Please add \”your\” three gratitude moments in the comments. It\’s a great way to pick up your day and it\’s fun for the rest of us to read!
- Cold, cold walk this morning and we got done a little faster I expect.
- Going to the Legion for Taco Night. Should be fun.
- Just remembered I need to get clothes out of the dryer. Thankful for easy clean clothes!
