Gratitude makes sense

Whatever I read or see on TV or hear from somewhere affects my mood. It does. I am like a sponge absorbing whatever I come into contact with. This is why I find it so important to find good things to read and happy things to think about. It affects how I feel and how I feel affects how I am with others. Definitely of course how I write this post!

I got a book at the library today called, \”Educated,\” by Tara Westover. It was suggested to me as a good example of wonderful memoir writing. Well, it is good but so far it is also depressing.

I expect everyone\’s life is full of depressed moments as well as good ones. I guess that is how it is. No one gets a full ticket to Joy all the time. 🙂

But I like this quote that gratitude makes sense of the past. I guess it means that when we look backwards we find that whatever we experienced in the past makes us stronger and better for today.

Sometimes that is not true I expect. Some sad things affect us for a very long time and I don\’t know that we are the better for it. See what I mean about reading something depressing?
