It\’s been my experience that you can nearly always enjoy things if you make up your mind firmly that you will.

Old Posts of Yesterday

I made an interesting discovery yesterday that I could add my posts from previous blogs I did to this one and so I decided to do that. The images didn\’t come through as I had hoped but the text and the comments did so it is a nice journey to take backwards. I only had backups of 2014 forward – but that is still nice.

One thing I noted in reading a few of the back posts is that I am pretty much thinking and musing on the same things over and over. In essence I think it shows we are pretty much who we are and that doesn\’t change over time even when our living situations change, people in our lives take different roles in importance and the world moves on in crazy ways about us.

It\’s not that I don\’t belief in growth but perhaps it\’s more of an awakening to who we are – the soul, body and spirit created by God that expands at the same time we remain true to the core of our life\’s being.

I am hoping that heaven will allow us to look back at our life and see each day from the perspective of the present. That would be so amazing. Especially if we could view everyone\’s life like that which would certainly take up an eternity of viewing by our limits of today.

Gratitude Moments

If you would like please add \”your\” three gratitude moments in the comments. It\’s a great way to pick up your day and it\’s fun for the rest of us to read!

  1. Four cats and two bunnies sighted on our walk. Always fun.
  2. Quiet day – some rain earlier so don\’t need to water.
  3. Soup turned out pretty good – I ended up adding more potatoes, celery, zucchini and almond milk to get it there! Lesson learned on the pepper!

  1. Happy to hear the soup turned out. Beautiful post today, thank you. I sent you a site on Tara Brach, meditation called RAIN. It is excellent.

    Grateful for:

    Family
    Friends
    Freedom

    1. Hi Cathy – Thank you for sending the link to the meditation: https://www.tarabrach.com/meditation-practice-rain/

I had a lot of resistance to doing it – I was feeling very tense and annoyed about all the things I felt like I should do more than taking 20 minutes for a meditation. It actually took me three attempts since yesterday to do it – but I did it just now and it was okay.

I think it probably takes more time to get into meditation like that. I have done it before but it’s been awhile – I will try it a couple more times as I feel it will be helpful the more I do it.

thanks for thinking of me for this. 🙂
