Highest Form of Thought

I greatly admire G. K. Chesterton as a very holy, thoughtful and deep thinker. For him to say that thanks is the highest form of thought holds significant meaning to me. I tended to think that high forms of thought belonged to scientists, philosophers and mathematicians but thinking thoughts of thankfulness is attainable by anyone.

Love that concept.

Gratitude is Happiness

This is quite fun to take a quote and sort of expand upon it bit by bit. Sort of like taking a sentence apart in English class only this is more fun and meaningful. At least to me. I have to admit that grammar, punctuation and all the rules of writing have always held a bit of \”uh oh, the Grammarians are going to lock me up for anything I write.

But as I have a streak of rebellion in me, I tap away on the keyboard anyway. What the heck.

Gratitude and happiness what a simple way to beat the doldrums. It\’s sort of easy for me today because the sun has been shining most of the day. But still I think it definitely helps more than thinking about what one doesn\’t have.
