Waffle game changed to Word Maker

\"\"

I\’ve reworked the \”Waffle\” game and changed the graphics from ugly brown (my opinion) to softer shades of pinks and purples. I like it better. Plays the same of course but now its just more feminine. Changed the name as well – it\’s now called Word Maker. I\’m not feeling that it\’s done yet but at least I know what I\’m doing with the graphics and code so further changes will be easier.

Mahjong Ocean

Play Mahjong

I uploaded Mahjong back to my site as the site I had it loaded on – went away. Today (Tuesday) I finished creating a new set of tiles for the Mahjong game. Ocean Fun. They are my favorite so far. It\’s a bit of busy work to create a new tile set but fun. The flower version is still available as well – select options on the side pane. I plan to do several more sets to fill my time.

Still trying to find my new Zone.

Every day I seem to bang around from one wall to another. I feel like I need something definite to work on. If it\’s not a job – than what? I could garden but it\’s about number three on a scale of ten. We have almost 1/4 of an acre though so gardening is always an option.

Sewing is maybe a four except I get upset when I don\’t sew neatly and that happens about every three minutes on a good day. Knitting is out and crocheting. Tried those long ago and realized pretty fast we weren\’t going anywhere with those options.

So what? I think about starting a book – but enthusiasm for that is pretty low as well. I guess I am just being difficult. So for now I\’m just playing around with redesigning games, blogging, Pinterest and doing fun stuff like this..

Please add \”your\” three gratitude moments in the comments. It\’s a great way to pick up your day and it\’s fun for the rest of us to read!

  1. Reading Michelle Obama\’s memoir. Pretty good. Makes me feel a bit like I\’m under accomplished but not enough to do anything about it.
  2. Working with games.
  3. Started watching Schitt\’s Creek. I like it. Very funny. I\’m always about six years behind everyone else TV wise but who cares. 🙂

  1. Hi, Patty – So funny! When you said you weren’t going to focus on making money any more, I remember thinking, “Could she really last long without a project or 2 or 5 to work on?” I think I have sent you this before, but am sending it again, because I think you will see yourself all through it. (I might be in there somewhere, too 🙂 I love this author and have read everything she’s written. She has several good books out there.
Please give it a minute. She has a couple of other videos that are interesting, too.

But the main reason I’m writing you is to ask if you like to do art? I have zero talent, but love to do stuff with paint, usually copying what someone else has created. So here is
something I have discovered – Painting rocks! It’s so easy and I found a lady that teaches her art, so clearly, step-by-step. I’ve already done 2 of them ( 1 with the dotting process and 1 acrylic painting) and am so proud of how they came out! And such fun to do!
    Check out Rachel’s videos:

(And paint pens are available to use for those of us who aren’t good with brushes.)
Just thought it might be a good pasttime for you – And you could decorate your yard with them or give them away to neighbors or friends. Doesn’t matter if they are simple or complicated, as long as they are bright and colorful!
    God bless,
    Roby

    1. Hi Roby. Thanks for your help! 🙂 I have one of Barb Sher’s book – and it has been helpful from time to time when I feel just as she describes. 🙂
The rock painting does look like fun – and I love other’s people’s painted rocks – but for now it doesn’t seem like what I want to do. Of course I haven’t watched her videos yet – so that might change! I do like bright and colorful!

      1. Hi again! Glad you are already familiar with Barb Sher. I know you will enjoy her video, too.
I think you will be inspired when you see Rachel’s many rock designs. I did the “Quiet Little Owl” one just recently, and I think it came out okay. Her tutorials are so easy to follow. If you do decide to try it, I think it’s better to put
a coat of Mod Podge all over the surface first, let dry, then paint. Makes the rock much smoother to work on. And if you do any to be put outside, be sure to use weatherproof spray or resin when you are done painting.
There are so many other rock artists, too, with cute designs on them, like this: https://www.etsy.com/listing/610435005/ladybug-painted-rocks?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=painted+rocks&ref=sr_gallery-1-3&organic_search_click=1&frs=1&bes=1&col=1

        and this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SX124XJRsOI
and anything else your mind can imagine!
I am in an Elder Orphan online group and am going to tell them about your site and all the great games. I think they would enjoy them!
Love your new Mahjong one with the animals!
        Keep creating,
        Roby

        1. Hi Roberta! I didn’t realize your comment was awaiting approval. It’s because it has more than two links – which yours are wonderful so thanks for them! I have read your comment several times and followed the links. I like the idea of doing the rocks except I don’t have paints and things and for a bit I am not buying anything new for starting new projects. Just a little self control for a bit. 🙂 In the meantime though I have decided after your comment that I would like to play around with drawing again. Not artistic type more like simple cartoon drawing – which is what I like and can manage. 🙂 Currently I am working on drawing cute giraffes and frogs. Thanks so much for sharing and sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Obviously I can’t explain it as being over busy because I’m not. Distracted maybe . . . that still goes one. Happy Wonderful Monday!
