Puzzle Knitting

Love the colors for this kitten puzzle. Almost makes me wish I could knit or crochet and use pretty yarn like this. I did try once but did not have the patience to keep at it. The bit of squiggly knit I did was very sad.

Ran my first Facebook ad for three days. For $30 it was shown 1,344 times and had 17 people click on the link. No sales.But it was a good first step. I know I have lots to learn – and hopefully not lots of money to lose.

Just keep pluggin on pluggin – that\’s my mantra for the year.

Starting a Family Cookbook

Another thing I am doing that has nothing to do with the store but is fun is that I am creating a cookbook of recipes from Jon\’s first wife, Nancy (from what I have heard she was a wonderful cook!). We have this nice little box of recipes that she carefully collected and I thought it would make a nice present for his kids to have her recipes.

So far I have made two of the recipes and they were great. I think I will share some of the recipes here. A lot of them are clipped from the paper and magazines and shared from friends and things like that. But I know if they got saved they were worth going into the book.

Has anyone made a cookbook from family recipes?

I did one for the sisters once using Morris Cookbooks. I might use that same service again though I am leaning more to just using Adobe InDesign with a Cookbook template. Then I can be more creative with it and be cheaper. I likes cheaper.
