\"AppleI got this picture a week or so ago as Jon was driving down the street. He slowed down a little bit but of course with traffic we had to keep moving. This mural was created by Guy Drennan. One these days soon I\’m going to do a walking tour of all the murals in the city. That would be kind of fun. I think right now there are 24 murals in the city. There is a tiny bit more information about the above  mural here.

\"BeaconHere is another picture I took on the same day. Beacon Rock – 1118 Main Street, Vancouver, Washington 98660. It was created by artist, Michael J. Feliz for the 2013 Summer of Murals.
On my quest to discover the different murals of Vancouver I found out that there is a Vancouver Mural Society. I plan to check it out more in the future. Maybe even volunteer. I love street murals. Here is a link to their web page.  Clark County Mural Society. On their website there is an online Mural Walking Tour map. If you click on any of the points you will get an image of the Mural and the location. Cool, huh? They also have a pdf called Walking Tour of Murals that you can print out. Looks like it is a copy of the Google Map with points highlighted. I found it rather difficult to navigate though. My thought is to make my own little map – it would make a great app I think. Wonder if they are working on that. Maybe there is one already?
Something else I found in my search for information about Vancouver Murals was Hobbie\’s Dawg\’s blog. Hobbie is a dog who lives in Vancouver, Washington and in two blog posts he has pictures of different murals about town in which he is hiding. Blog Post One  and Blog Post Two
Finally there is a Virtual Tour of the Murals which is on a Real Estate blog.  You can speed through it or watch it slowly. I did the speed option. Click, click, click. Very nice. You will need to have Flash installed so may not show up on some browsers and media players.
