“I have decided to stick with love.
Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Hate is a burden when you think about it. It’s like your whole face becomes pinched and mean and your body tightens up like a rubber band stretched too tight. You just have to do something to let whatever it is you hate know your feelings or you will burst.
Sometimes it is very hard not to hate. When you see something that is not right – how to stop and make that “love” decision?
And who knows – perhaps in some instances hate gives us the adrenaline to act in a way we might hold back otherwise. Like seeing a child mistreated or an animal. I can still remember looking out a window once and seeing a guy beating up his dog in his truck. I just wanted to get that guy and beat him up. Just the memory still makes me mad.
And though I rushed outside to get his license or something he was gone. I definitely would have called the police or some body on him! But I could do nothing – and yet there is that memory still burdening me down. I guess I need to send love to that person. So that both of us can be healed.
Funny how a stranger seen only for a half second can imprint themselves on our hearts in a good or bad way and linger for years. I have good memories too that are comforting. I have heard time and again that we are all connected – I think that is true. Probably only in heaven will we find out how much!
Top 15 Best Romantic Movies A day or two ago a fellow blogger commented on one of my posts and so naturally I had to go check out his blog. It is very nice – I really like this post. I copied all the names of the movies and I am hoping can watch them on Netflix.
