Today\’s struggle is with the book. I have been reading and listening to some information about book marketing and one thing that resonates as being very good, is determining before you start to write, what you want the outcome of the book to be.

Truthfully, that has got me stumped. Getting clear on \”why\” I want to write this book – when most of my \”why\” is a muddled up, jumbled up fog.

It\’s not enough I guess to say, \”Because I just feel like doing it.\” Though that\’s the biggest part of the truth.

Tomorrow I have a 20 minute call to assess if I might work with a book marketing mentor named John Eggen. I have known of him forever and would really like his help – but he is expensive and I think he mostly works for people with businesses. And while I do have a small business it\’s not the focus of the book . . .

Hum de dum will just see how it goes.

  1. You really seem to be struggling with this book…have you ever considered a journal type book? Writing your thoughts /and or life events and inviting the reader to relate to them? Many of us have the same or similar life experiences and would really like to write about them with a “friend”
    Just a thought.

  2. Hi Joan, – That is a very interesting concept. Something to truly explore. Not sure how it would work – but would be fun to do and probably more interesting than just one person’s take on things.

    I am still looking into working with John Eggen for this present book – as he will provide the direction and focus that will help me. Still love your concept and maybe could work that in!
