Writing these notes is very therapeutic for me. I look for a quote that most resonates with my thoughts and feelings and when it zings – I know I’ve found it.
Almost every day I need to give myself a pep talk to keep going with my puzzle books and other things. Sometimes the only thing that works is realizing how many hours, and how much money I have already invested.
I’ve reached the point where if I stop one more time I may not have the courage to try again.
So onward and upwards. Today I uploaded the third book to Ingram and now have that experience and knowledge to do the next one much easier. Ingram will be my distributor for when I find bigger book buyers. Which probably won’t be for the Vancouver series as the audience is too low but when I am ready to publish Portland, National Parks and other books having that knowledge will be necessary.
I made the decision today to have a local printer do the insides of the puzzle books rather than printing at home as the pages have been printing with a bit of a curl. I need to have 300 books printed and that would mean I would be doing nothing else but printing, cutting and binding. Now I will just do the binding. Easy, peasy.
Of course, I need to find more stores and places to carry the books. That’s my next push.
The fight is on
- Good session with SCORE mentor. Moving forward.
- Starting to work on last website. Bit by bit.
- All three puzzle books are at Ingram. Time to get back to working on the next one!
