 Today’s Sunshine:

The Greatest Gift

In so many ways I think most people are much more alike than different.

In things that really matter like friendship, kindness, helpfulness, support, caring and other loving attributes we all have the same kinship.

It\’s that LOVE DNA that really is what we are searching for in all our quests.

Friendship is the Bridge

The path to God I think is simply being a friend to all.

Not just those we know or someday may know  – but to everyone that has lived before us and those to come after.

Friendship links hands from one generation and lifetime to the next.

The World is Full of Fears

But a friend makes those fears livable.

I was talking to one of my sisters today about the idea of living on the coast.

This is something I always wanted to do but now with Global Warming and the coast becoming dangerous that doesn\’t seem like such a good idea. But then one has huge forest fires that wipe out entire cities, and blizzards, flooding, tornadoes and all sorts of other natural dangers that it makes one fearful wherever one lives.

So What to do?

Put your trust in God and friends. Those two things will carry us through.

St. Augustine said it well. \”Love and do what you will.\”

 Today\’s Three Sunshine (Gratitude) Moments:

1. Yogurt treat at a yogurt shop.
2. Working on taxes. Horrors! But making some progress.
3. Every day at least once and usually three or four times during the day, Jon or I  will say to the other. Come see how Buddy is sleeping now. Every fifteen minutes a new stretched out \”Happy Cat\” position. I wonder if God looks at us that way.
