Another day – another memory game. Prepare yourself – I am having too much fun with this. I plan to make at least 30 memory games and maybe 100. I have darling dragons, playful angels and all sorts of cute images to make new puzzles. Lots and lots!

\"the_joy_of_the_gospel\"Today I got a present that I ordered myself. When one lives alone one can get away with doing that.

It is a book of course, what other kind of present would I buy myself? This is Pope Francis\’s, \”The Joy of the Gospel.\” I have only read a few pages but already in love with it. I will probably be quoting passages from it for the next year at least.

\”Let me say this once more: God never tires of forgiving us;
we are the ones who tire of seeking his mercy.\”

\”With Christ joy is constantly born anew.\”

\”There are Christians whose lives seem like Lent without Easter.\”

\”The Gospel radiant with the glory of Christ\’s cross, constantly invites us to rejoice.\”

I didn\’t send a card out yesterday because I worked most of the day on updating web pages. I am moving all of my puzzles and games to the Joy in Jesus site. And moving out of WordPress and into simple HTML pages. This means I have at least 150 pages to create from the old ones. Simple work but a lot. I did 80 pages yesterday and by that time I just had to get away from the computer. It was a serious case of, \”Get me out of here!\”

Today I worked at the Church and then came home and worked on the Memory game for a change of pace. Once this goes out, I will try and work on some more pages. At least that is my good intentions . . . there is a chance I may just grab a book and go read. That happens too!

There is one serious mystery in this house that I have been totally unable to solve. Before Christmas I bought two used books by those Jewish ladies that I love so much. When the package came I put it away without opening it, saving it for Christmas. Since then, I have not been able to find the place where I put it away! It is driving me nuts! They are just short stories but I like reading one or two before I go to bed. Always a miracle or a touch of God in them. Just nice. Sigh. Some day it\’s bound to show up and it will be Christmas all over again!

Have a wonderful, God-filled day!

Patricia

  1. Such an adorable moose game, the pictures are the cutest. I love it. You are so busy. Thank you for all the games you have and will put up.
The quotes from Pope Francis are wonderful, just fabulous. I may borrow some for the prayer wheel, if you do not mind.
Regarding the books you have misplaced, I misplace things all the time and it becomes a crisis I this house and there are only so many places I would have something, that is what is so odd about it. You may have taken the books with you when you went on your trip with Barb to your sisters house and saw your brother or when you house sat for your friend and maybe left the books there or maybe in your trunk of the car. they will show up, believe me. I thought I lost 2 scarves and I had them with Christmas gifts??? Do not ask me how they got there. Also a friend forgot her sweater in a restaurant we went to and I went back and got it for her and forgot to take it to her last time I saw her and now I do not know where I put the sweater and to make matters worse it is a black sweater and I live in black :(. I will find it. Might be packed away with Christmas items 🙂

    1. Yes, I love those little mooses. Mooses is not a word I know, and my spellcheck is having conniptions – but it is how I want to say it. 🙂

It is just the amazing thing. I mean I have just a 5 room house and how could it just disappear like that? Oh well, some day or year I will find it.

  2. This will be exciting to do. Did you put St. Anthony to your mystery ? Anthony Anthony hops around when somethings lost and can’t be found. He will find the book. Have a blessed day. Time for Franciscan meeting. KathyOFS Siochan Agus Maitheas.

    1. Yes, I added St. Anthony to the Lost and Find – Search and Rescue team . . . after an email from Mary G. this morning. But so far he is not saying a word.

      Enjoy your meeting!

  3. I could not find Memory Moose it did not display for me. Anyone else expirence this problem?

    1. The mooses puzzle worked today when I tried. They are so cute. My book I got yesterday might interest you it is small Lent with Francis by Diane Hoduke daily reflections with st. Francis for this lenten season. Our Fraternity ordered them for us to purchase. I paid $5.00 I am not sure full price.

      1. HI Kathy,

Looks like a good book, I found it on Franciscan Media. Not sure if I will get it or not. Will do a bit of thinking. Not expensive though and I read the first couple of pages and I like the writing.

The price there was actually cheaper than $5.00 – not sure if it’s on sale or ?

  4. If no one else has suggested this, try to look for something else. That’s how I find all the things I’m missing! Now if I could just find my rosary……
