Counting Blessings

Feeling so blessed that everyone I know is healthy so far. The fear keeps rising that this will not continue but for now I am grateful.

Today the announcement came that all restaurants, bars and many other places are officially closed.

The New Normal?

Just got back from another shopping trip this morning to try and get some bananas and potatoes which they were out of yesterday.

Today there was a little more produce in the store at 8:30 but the lines to the checkout counter were the full width of the store.

Today\’s pin from the book, Why Stay Catholic by Michael Leach

\”Spiritual Kingdom of Love, Reconciliation and Healing\”

You can find this book on Amazon or read more about Michael\’s book at Franciscan Media.

Please add \”your\” three gratitude moments in the comments. It\’s a great way to pick up your day and it\’s fun for the rest of us to read!

  1. Beautiful Sunshine for our walk.
  2. Everything is in bloom!
  3. Finished yesterday\’s book. The last few chapters turned into Christian Bible quoting and soft soap preaching which I wasn\’t expecting. Not too fond of books that start one way and end another.

  1. Living in Ohio. Over 65 years are advised to stay home. Restaurants are mostly closed, some will deliver (at your own risk). Most are closed. Shopping for groceries is not happening as most shelves are empty. There have been many days when no toilet paper or really any paper products can be found. Meat, bread, eggs, milk, etc. are hard to come buy. Shopping carts are lined up at all cash registers for long waits. Churches are empty, schools are closed (indefinitely….no set dates yet to come back), businesses are letting people work from home, those over 65 are asked to impose a self quarantine as are the ones with respiratory or compromised immune systems
are also strongly advised to stay at home. No one can visit family at retirement areas and no visiting nurses except volunteers. Some medical offices are closed. No voting tomorrow, no theaters, no recreational areas, no large get together s allowed (under 10 or less allowed), all sports, theaters, and activities have been canceled indefinitely. we are trying our best to maintain our lives. Some have even started to horde water. Pray for all of us.

    1. Hi Judie – Oh so sorry I didn’t reply to your comment earlier. Missed it somehow. My apology. 🙂
We are at “shelter in place” mode here in Washington state. We continue to take our daily walk which is okay as long as we keep a social distance from other walkers. Surprisingly not to many doing that most days – and the streets have far less traffic. which seems rather eerie but makes crossing streets much easier.
I hope you continue to stay well and in good cheer.
Praying for each other is good! 🙂
