Divine Moments

Read this: A Moment of Connection

It\’s a beautiful one paragraph story of kindness from an unexpected source. Made my day. Hope you take the time to read it and it blesses your day too.

I wonder if our days are full of \”Divine Moments\” that we totally miss because we aren\’t looking for them. We haven\’t dialed in our radar search to pinpoint and mark them.

When I worked as a Cryptographer in the Navy one of the guys on the team would spend his whole watch staring over a screen that every so often showed up tiny blips of activity such as a submarine, jet, etc. He was tuned in for the things that were too high in the sky or too deep in the ocean for normal folks to see until possibly it was too late.

Now what if we had such a \”Direction Finding\” radar within us that we could dial into to find Divine Moments.

There they are! Zooming over our heads or two blocks down the street. Maybe there would be so many of them our heads would spin.

What if every person we meet or see or think about is a source for those Divine Moments to be revealed?

Maybe all this time we haven\’t seen them because our radar is tuned into other things. Normal everyday good sort of things like what to eat for lunch and what to watch on TV this evening. Which certainly take up a good portion of my day . . . but maybe I\’m missing some things.

Another Good Book

I found the above story (A moment of Connection) while looking at Susan Jeffers [1938-2012] website. She wrote the book, Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway.

I\’m thinking I need something like it to keep pushing forward.

I just got a book from the library this morning that shows promise of being helpful. Okay, Fine, Whatever – The year I went from being afrais of everything to only being afraid of most things.

I\’m only 25 pages into the book but so far so good! Apparently she deals with fears and trepidation\’s even above mine – and still accomplishes great things. Will keep you posted.

When we do the best we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life or in the life of another.

Jigsaw Puzzles

Besides the Word Search books I am also working on getting a few Jigsaw Puzzles made. I think I have found a manufacturer that is affordable and now I am waiting for a sample of the puzzle pieces before leaping off that bridge.

I have a possible artist I am working with. I want to make 100 piece puzzles that promote Fort Vancouver here in my city. So far he drew this cute, cute beaver. I need a more developed background but this beaver is a great start.

My thoughts with the puzzles are that more people will buy puzzles as a souvenir for their children or grandchildren than themselves. So I\’m starting with kid\’s puzzles. Will see how it goes.

  3. Delicious cup of coffee and Chi tea mixed together. Yum.
